Arrest made in this morning’s homicide

March 17, 2008 (MINNEAPOLIS) The Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit has arrested Tyeric Lamar Lessley (DOB 08/31/1985) for the homicide that occurred at 2:30AM this morning at Washington Avenue South and Chicago Avenue.  During the incident a confrontation occurred after a traffic collision and one male was shot by another.

Lessley was arrested this afternoon without incident in the 5700 block of 24th Avenue South by Minneapolis Police SWAT and the MPD Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.  He will be booked for PC Murder and Sgt’s Nancy Dunlap and John Holthusen will be presenting the case to the Hennepin County Attorney for charging.
